Joe's training in massage is based on Ben Benjamin System of Muscular Therapy,
Neuromuscular, Sports and Myofascial Release. He is a graduate of Muscular
Therapy Institute (now Cortiva Institute) in Watertown, MA. Has certifications
in Reiki 1, AED/CPR and member of the American Massage Therapy Association
(AMTA). He is an active Massage Volunteer to various organizations promoting
health and wellness like Maynard Monster Road Race, Quincy Medical Center Cancer
Walk, Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Walk and Boston Marathon.
Joe's goal as a therapist is simply to help you get back your best form.
Prior to his career in Muscular Therapy, he worked for more than 10 years in
Radio Holland Middle East and Varco Coiled Tubing & Wireline Div. in Dubai,
U. A. E. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Manila.
Most of his off time, he is with his kids taking pictures with his DSLR or at the driving
range of Granite Links Golf in Quincy.
Joe is available for appointments on Tuesdays and occasional weekends.

kathy hermann, l.c.m.t
Kathy graduated from MTI in 2005 after a career in the high-tech industry. She also holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College. An avid horsewoman, she discovered the power of massage while rehabilitating an injured horse and now divides her practice between horses and humans. She has worked in spas, provided sports massage at the Boston Marathon and is currently pursuing her interest in Reflexology.
Kathy works to relieve chronic pain and tension whether from everyday stress, injury or compensation patterns. She will use a combination of gentle, specific deep-tissue work, sports massage, myofascial release and relaxation techniques. Her goal for each massage is to reduce the ache and pain of stressed muscles, improve mobility and allow for a sense of ease and well-being within the body.
Kathy is available for appointments
Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Sundays.

mary woodbury, l.c.m.t, office manager
Mary
studied massage at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy before moving to Cambridge, MA, graduating from the Muscular Therapy Institute. She learned an integrated therapeutic technique, drawing from Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, facilitated stretching, and deep tissue, neuromuscular, and sports massage.
Mary will adapt her approach to the client's needs and preferences—from deep pressure to gentle work; from specific pain relief to general relaxation. She helps clients learn body awareness, stress reduction, and active self-care, so they can make the most of the benefits of massage after a therapeutic session. Mary is available for appointments Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and every other Sunday.

dawn slack, l.c.m.t
Dawn's inspiration is Women's Health and in the connections between mind and body. Her approach is gentle and compassionate, and she seeks to create a sense of calm nurturance in sessions, incorporating varing techniques and pressure--from very light to deep and specific, myofascial release, gentle stretching, and breath and energy work. She works with clients to understand and address issues of chronic tension in the body, encouraging client empowerment and self-care between sessions.
She received training in the Benjamin System of Muscular Therapy at Cortiva Institute-Boston; additionally, she holds a BA in Women's Studies from UMass/Boston. She is a professional member of the Multiservice Eating Disorders Association and the AMTA.

kristine jelstrup, l.c.m.t
Kristine
has been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 1998.
Her professional training consists of a comprehensive 1000-hour program at the Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics
in Indianapolis, Indiana, with emphasis on a cross fiber deep tissue technique called Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy.
Her continuing education has included Orthopedic Massage, Active Isolated Stretching and CranioSacral Therapy. She is also certified as a Bio-Kinetics practitioner.
Kristine works with clients who have a wide variety of ailments, athletes who want their muscles to perform better,
and clients who simply need relief from their stressful lives. She is personally committed to the care of each of her clients and
in each case develop specialized treatments that best meet their needs.

susan liao, owner
Susan is a 2003 graduate from the Cortiva Institute - Muscular Therapy lnstitute
(CI-MTl), formerly the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA,
and founder of Hara Wellness / SL Massage Therapy.
While still involved with the operations of the practice, Susan no longer sees clients as she now resides in Brooklyn, NY, with her two dogs, Doodle and Carlos.
